Meal Savers
Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
We keep things simple: you rescue great food, local businesses recover value, and everyone plays fair. Here's the fine print that makes that possible.
1. Who we are
Meal Savers is a marketplace that connects you with local food businesses that have surplus food. We don't cook, package, or handle the food ourselves — we connect hungry people with delicious surplus.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your password to yourself. You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. One human, one account, please.
3. Reservations and pickup
Surprise bags are exactly that — a surprise. Contents vary based on what the business has left that day.
- Reservations are limited by availability and confirmed only once you receive an order code.
- Arrive inside the pickup window shown on your order. Outside that window, the business may not be able to hold your bag.
- Bring your order code. It's your ticket.
4. Pricing and fees
Prices are set by each business. Meal Savers may add a small service fee, which is always shown before you confirm. Taxes apply where required.
5. Cancellations and refunds
See our Refund Policy for how cancellations, no-shows, and problem orders are handled.
6. Fair use
- No reselling rescued food commercially.
- No scraping, bots, or bulk-reserving bags you don't intend to collect.
- No abusive behavior toward businesses or their staff. They're the heroes here.
7. Content you post
Reviews and photos you submit stay yours, but you give us permission to display them on Meal Savers. Keep it honest and kind.
8. Food safety
Businesses are responsible for the quality and safety of the food they sell. Please read our Food Safety Disclaimer before your first rescue.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Meal Savers isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the order in question.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the platform grows; we'll post the new date at the top. Questions? Reach us through the Contact page — a real person reads it.
