Meal Savers

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026

We collect what we need to get a warm bag of food into your hands — and nothing we can't explain in plain English.

1. What we collect

  • Account basics: name, email, and optionally your city and ZIP.
  • Order details: what you reserved, from whom, and when you picked it up.
  • Location, only if you allow it, so we can show what's near you.
  • Device and usage data to keep the app fast and fix bugs.

2. Why we collect it

To create your account, show nearby deals, process reservations, send confirmations and pickup reminders, prevent fraud, and improve the product.

3. Who sees it

The business you order from sees your first name and order code so they can hand you the right bag. Service providers (hosting, email, payments) see only what they need to do their job. We don't sell your personal data. Ever.

4. Cookies and similar tech

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to understand which parts of the app are useful. You can clear them anytime in your browser.

5. How long we keep it

Account data stays while your account is open. Order records are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymized.

6. Your choices

  • View and edit your profile from your account page.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it.
  • Turn off location permission at any time in your device settings.
  • Unsubscribe from non-essential emails with one click.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and we review our practices regularly. No system is perfect, but we take this seriously.

8. Children

Meal Savers isn't intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

9. Contact

Privacy question or request? Use the Contact page and we'll get back to you.

Heads up: this is a friendly starter template, not legal advice. Swap in your own language (and have a lawyer glance at it) before launch day.
